How to make Homemade Face Scrubs

by

Prenoy YonerpIt is true that the sebum (oil) produced by the pituitary glands is one of the main causes of acne. Facial scrub is one of the most effective ways of removing the excess oil in the face. However, it is also a fact that being treated of facial scrub in clinics would take you some money.

Homemade facial scrub is an easy, simple and cheap beauty product. There is no need to spend money on scrub in the drug store or department store. You can make your own with just a few natural ingredients straight from your kitchen pantry.

Caring for your skin need not be expensive. The ingredients needed to make a scrub can be even found in your own homes. Let me show you how.

Oatmeal and honey are just two of the ingredients you can make an excellent healing and moisturizing scrub that works just as well as an commercial product does for only pennies.

One basic ingredient in making a homemade face scrub that can be found in your homes is brown sugar. A facial scrub that melts like sugar instead of using micro beads is much preferable for your skin. Micro beads can become stuck in your pores.

The high blackstrap molasses in the sugar helps to exfoliate, like a chemical peel.If you have an oily skin, you may use genuine salt, baking soda or ground aspirin.

Tomatoes. Blend about three to four small tomatoes. Be sure that you have washed the tomatoes before you blend them. Mix it with 4tbps. of brown sugar.Let it be on your face for about 30 minutes and massage for 15 minutes.

Grind 1 tablespoon almonds into a fine meal in a blender or food processor. Mix almond meal together with 1 tablespoon honey and 1 egg white. Apply to face and let set for about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Do you know that fruits can also be used as a homemade face scrub? Avocado can cleanse the skin and make it feel fresh and alive just right after you make the application. It’s natural and very affordable.

Mix it with banana and olive oil, just enough to make the paste thick. Rub it gently over your face. Don’t use too much pressure, as the avocado pit will naturally exfoliate. Rinse first with warm water then cold water to close the pores then you pat it dry with a towel.

Puree 1/2 peeled, sliced cucumber in a blender or food processor and add 1 tablespoon yogurt. Apply to face and let set about 20 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Crush a handful of strawberries and mix well with 1 teaspoon honey. Apply to face and let set for about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Homemade facial scrub is not at all an inferior skin care product just because it wasn’t purchased in an expensive department store. All too often, skin care consumers fall for fancy packaging and advertising campaigns, not for what is actually in the jar.
